It’s been another lovely week full of practices and articles for you to enjoy. This week’s theme has definitely been along the lines of pausing, letting go, and then coming back to centre.
With articles to support you further, including how to think about disappointment in a new way and tips on how you can set up your home meditation practice, I hope that it has helped inspire you to take your practice off the mat, too.
This week we shared:
💜 Movement: The Restorative Pause : A 10-minute post-work reset (enjoy that here)
💜 Meditation: Let Go of the Day : Picture yourself by the side of a river. Dip your fingertips into the running water, let go of whatever you’re still holding on to from the day. Relax and release (listen here).
💜 Article: Tips for Setting up your home Meditation practice (read here)
💜 Movement: Re-Centre and Re-Balance : A very short but very energising and uplifting sequence to get you moving, refocusing and balancing (practice here).
💜 Article: Thoughts on Disappointment - what is it? What’s the difference between being disappointed and ruminating on something? How can we move forwards? (Read more here)
Just to add, I swapped out the turtle meditation for Let Go Of the Day, as it just felt more in-keeping. I hope that’s ok, the turtle will be coming along in a couple of weeks time 🐢
Coming up next week we have the start of our August theme: Embracing Summer
Here’s a sneak peek:
I don’t know about you, but to me it does feel like the days of this year are starting to slip away like a bottle of wine. Have you noticed the sun is already starting to set earlier?
Summer is a time to unplug but isn’t it also so tempting to try and squeeze in so much? Summer encourages a sense of spontaneity and adventure; with school breaks and longer evenings, there’s more room for last-minute road trips to the beach, lazy afternoons in the garden with a good book, or walks in foreign cities savouring the feeling of your sandals on new pavements.
But embracing summer isn't just about sunshine and vacations; it's about fully stepping into the season's spirit of vitality and renewal. Now is the time to slow down, soak in the moment, and be fully present of this season we’re in.
I can’t wait to share August with you!
